Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Memphis seeks an Assistant Grocery Manager to help lead one of the store's busiest teams, drive customer service, and uphold health and safety standards.

You will assist in managing the Grocery department, handle inventory and ordering, train staff, and partner with the Grocery Manager to deliver healthy products and a great shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have 1-3 years retail management experience.
• Must be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to take/give direction.
• Outgoing, friendly attitude with ability to interact with customers.
• Proven leadership to build and motivate staff with knowledge of personnel reports, margins and goals.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
• Unload and sort deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
