Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Holladay, Utah is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to help customers make healthy choices by leading one of the store's busiest teams and delivering outstanding service.

You will assist in managing the Grocery department, including orders, inventory control, staff development, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines. Weekend/evening work required to keep the department running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1-3 years retail management experience.
• Familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets preferred.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to follow directions.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with ability to interact with customers.
• Proven leadership to build and maintain staff while tracking reports and sales goals.
• Must be able to lift milk trays up to 60 lbs. and boxes up to 50 lbs. for up to 25 hours.
• Repetitive squatting/kneeling/bending up to 30 hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high-quality products and service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
• Unload and sort store deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
