Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to support the Grocery Manager in leading one of our busiest store teams.

You’ll focus on helping customers make healthy food choices through outstanding service, while managing inventory, ordering, and staff development. The role emphasizes teamwork, scheduling flexibility, and adherence to health and safety guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1-3 years retail management experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to take and give direction.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with customer interaction.
• Proven leadership to build and maintain staff; understand margin and sales goals.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.
• Able to lift milk trays up to 60 lbs. and boxes up to 50 lbs. with some limits.

Responsibilities

• Assist Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Help lead a team to deliver high quality products and customer service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
• Unload and sort store deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
