Overview

We are actively looking for a new Assistant Pro who desires to jumpstart their career. A prior Assistant moved forward as an Assistant Pro at the established LA Country Club.

About JCC:

Jonesboro Country Club was founded in 1919 in the northeast corner of Arkansas. During its storied history it has been a focal point for social activities along with golf and tennis events since its inception. We honor and cherish our heritage and use it as a foundation for continuing our legacy.

The Golf Operation is looking for a new Assistant Professional to continue the legacy at JCC by providing the best in service and class.

Experience Required

  • Looking for someone who has a golf background and is eager to get into the industry.
  • PGA Member or registered Associate not required but it is expected the individual becomes one shortly after employment.
  • Experience in Junior Golf Programming is preferred.
  • Strong relationship builder. Must be able to develop strong rapport with parents and family members.
  • High degree of professionalism and commitment to excellence and first class standards.
  • Detail oriented individual and able to prioritize work, managing multiple tasks with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative and develop unique programs and ideas.
  • Ability to be a self-starter.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to integrate quickly with the culture of the staff and Club.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Promote the game of golf to the membership of Jonesboro Country Club, and protects the brand of the Club in our community.
  • Works with the golf and other club staff to successfully implement the overall vision of providing the finest golf and social experiences for the membership of JCC.
  • Assists the Head Golf Professional with all activities and operations associated with daily play to deliver operational excellence.
  • Displays an affable personality and presence in the golf shop, practice amenities, and while on the golf course.
  • Manages JCC Junior Golf Program, its instruction, and associated activities.
  • Assists the Head Golf Professional with the successful administration and execution of tournament operations.
  • Displays leadership by constantly demonstrating a strong work ethic and works well with the team to deliver a first class member experience.
  • Assists the Head Golf Professional with merchandising the golf shop including: meeting with vendors and making product selections, receiving, pricing, invoicing, inventory management, special order processing, and rotation of displays throughout the golf shop.
  • Ability to develop and publish high quality communication for the membership.
  • Ability to provide high quality golf instruction for private and group lessons.
  • Maintains a close working relationship with the golf course maintenance staff, and other Club department heads.
  • Plays golf with the JCC membership.
  • Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Head Golf Professional.
