Applegreen is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Saddle River, NJ to support daily restaurant operations and learn essential management skills under the General Manager. The role focuses on leadership, staff development, customer service excellence, and adherence to brand standards.

Responsibilities include coaching shifts supervisors, maintaining performance, ensuring cash controls, and resolving issues to sustain high level of guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Ability to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day supervision of non-management staff, assign work, coach shifts supervisors.
• Be capable of performing duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale during busy or low periods.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Address issues promptly and effectively to support store operations.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure customer-facing areas meet expectations.
• Manage cash handling, daily reporting, and compliance with directives.
• Respond to customer needs and build positive long-term relationships.
• Keep inventory data accurate through spot counts and checks.
