ApplegreenUSA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager ensure smooth day-to-day operations at our New Jersey locations. This role offers entry-level managers an opportunity to learn essential supervisory skills and apply sound judgment in busy travel plaza settings.

You will supervise non-management staff, coach shifts, maintain cash controls, and ensure customer satisfaction while upholding safety and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping people learn and grow the business.

• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen
• 2+ Years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations
• Flexible and open work schedule
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Ensure day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assign tasks, coach shifts supervisors, and focus on store level operation performance.
• Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Strong Leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion.
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintains awareness of brand standards and procedures to maximize brand/landlord/labor relations.
• Ensures restaurant always looks clean, inviting, and adheres to brand standards.
• Ensures cash management is accurate and reports are delivered as per directives.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues, building positive long-term relationships.
• Maintains inventory data with spot counts and checks.
