Applegreen USA in New Jersey seeks an Assistant General Manager to help run daily operations at our Westwood travel plaza. This role provides entry-level managers with essential leadership and discretion skills in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will supervise non-management staff, coach shifts, ensure brand standards, manage cash, resolve customer issues, and support inventory controls while upholding safety and quality. Targeted for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quick service restaurant or similar management experience.
• Strong leadership and customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.
• Flexible and open work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Ensure day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assign work, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion.
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintains awareness of brand standards and procedures to maximize brand/landlord/labor relations.
• Ensures the restaurant always looks clean, inviting, and adheres to brand standards.
• Cash management is accurate and processed daily; reports delivered as directed.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to ensure long-term relationships.
• Inventory data accuracy via spot counts and checks.
