Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in New Jersey seeks an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager oversee daily operations at our travel plaza. This entry-level management role offers learning opportunities in supervising teams, coaching staff, and delivering quality guest experiences.

You will lead by example, ensure brand standards, manage cash and inventory, and resolve customer issues to build lasting relationships.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping people learn and grow the business.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Ensure day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assign work, coach shifts supervisors.
• Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Strong Leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion.
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintains awareness of brand standards and procedures to maximize brand/landlord/labor relations.
• Ensures the restaurant looks clean, inviting, and adheres to brand standards.
• Ensures cash management is accurate and reports are delivered.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues, building positive relationships.
• Monitors inventory data with spot counts.
