Job summary

Auntie Anne's is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Norridge, IL to lead daily operations, coach staff, and ensure exceptional guest experiences. You will support the General Manager, manage scheduling and inventory, and uphold quality, safety, and service standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in food service or retail, strong leadership and communication skills, and availability for flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Previous supervisory or management experience (Shift Lead, Assistant Manager, or similar role preferred).
• Flexible availability (weeknights, weekends, and holidays).
• TB clearance required (if applicable by location).
• 1-2 years of food service or retail experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, scoop, and stay active throughout your shift.
• Comfortable working in warm and cold environments (ovens, prep areas, walk-ins).
• Basic math and computer skills (Microsoft, POS systems).
• Ability to taste-test products for quality.
• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Food handler certification (current or obtained within 30 days).
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and POS technology.
• General knowledge of food service or pretzel operations is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and store performance
• Lead, coach, and develop team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences
• Maintain high standards for product quality, service, cleanliness, and food safety
• Assist with scheduling, inventory, and operational reporting
• Handle team and guest concerns with professionalism and confidence
• Step in to manage the store in the absence of the General Manager
