Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in New Jersey is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager and ensure smooth day-to-day operations at our busy travel plaza locations.

The role emphasizes leading teams, delivering quality customer service, maintaining brand standards, and supervising shifts. You will mentor staff, manage cash and inventory, and uphold safety, with opportunities to grow into a higher-level management position.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign tasks, and coach shifts supervisors.
• Be able to perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff, especially to improve morale during challenging times.
• Maintain leadership, organization, and adherence to brand standards.
• Address issues promptly and ensure policies are followed.
• Ensure restaurant looks clean, inviting and compliant with brand standards.
• Oversee cash management and daily reporting per directives.
• Resolve customer needs and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Perform spot inventory checks to ensure data accuracy.
