Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily operations, supervise staff, and uphold performance standards across our NJ locations. The role offers entry-level management exposure with opportunities to learn judgment and discretion in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will lead teams, coach supervisors, ensure cash accuracy, address customer needs, and maintain inventory integrity while upholding brand standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign tasks, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Step in for the general manager when needed to keep daily operations smooth.
• Motivate staff during low morale and maintain brand standards.
• Ensure cash management is accurate and reports are delivered as directed.
• Resolve customer issues to build positive, long-term relationships.
• Maintain inventory accuracy with spot counts and checks.
