Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations and to develop entry-level managers. The role offers opportunities to lead teams, maintain brand standards, manage cash, and oversee inventories in a busy travel-plaza environment.

Strong leadership, customer service excellence, and clear communication are essential, with the ability to motivate staff and ensure smooth operation across shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to coach and develop shifts supervisors and non-management staff.
• Basic food safety understanding and physical ability to lift over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate objectives.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and coach store-level staff across shifts.
• Act in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff during low morale and ensure policy adherence.
• Maintain brand standards, cash handling, and inventory checks.
