Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is looking for an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run daily operations and to provide an entry-level path into management within our travel plaza network. The role focuses on learning essential judgment and discretion skills in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will supervise associates, coach shifts, uphold brand standards, manage cash, resolve customer issues, and develop teams to deliver excellent service and strong store

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach shifts, and develop supervisors.
• Perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale, especially during challenges.
• Lead with strong organizational skills and ensure brand standards.
• Ensure cash management accuracy and daily reporting per company directives.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Maintain accurate inventory through spot counts and checks.
