Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Gulfport, MS. You will lead, train and coach crew and management staff to ensure fast, friendly service and high quality food in a clean, safe environment.

You’ll direct daily operations, manage scheduling, inventory, and reporting, and drive sales growth with marketing initiatives. The role requires at least two years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred), ability to work nights/weekends, and strong leadership,

Qualifications

• Two years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running shifts without supervision.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations.
• Leadership and supervisory practices; strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic accounting and computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task and solve problems.
• Willingness to abide by appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards.
• Adheres to employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Prepares employee work schedules and adjusts staffing levels.
• Monitors and maintains inventory; places orders within cost controls.
• Keeps payroll and employment records up to date.
• Reinforces customer service focus and guest satisfaction.
• Resolves guest requests promptly and reports complaints.
• Interviews and hires staff to achieve proper staffing levels.
• Prepares operational reports and develops action plans for unfavorable trends.
• Develops and implements a marketing plan.
