Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is hiring an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager ensure smooth daily operations at our travel plazas. You will learn essential management skills and exercise judgment to support a fast-paced team.

The role emphasizes leadership, customer service, and adherence to brand standards. You will supervise front-line staff, manage cash processes, and help maintain a clean, inviting guest experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen
• Flexible and open work schedule
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach, and develop shifts supervisors.
• Capable of acting in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale.
• Provide strong leadership and organization.
• Address issues promptly and follow company policies.
• Ensure brand standards and procedures are followed.
• Maintain a clean, inviting restaurant that adheres to brand standards.
• Manage cash daily and deliver reports as directed.
• Address customer needs and build long-term relationships.
• Perform spot inventory checks to ensure data accuracy.
