Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily operations across our Northeast/Midwest travel plazas. You will guide teams, ensure service standards, and help drive sales while maintaining strong guest experiences.

Key responsibilities include staff development, cash handling, and adherence to brand policies. A commitment to safety, flexibility, and a collaborative leadership style is essential to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.

Responsabilités

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day supervision of non-management staff, assign work, and coach shifts supervisors.
• Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Strong Leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion and ensure policy adherence.
• Maintain brand standards and procedures to maximize brand/landlord/labor relations.
• Ensure restaurant looks clean, inviting, and adheres to standards.
• Ensure cash management is accurate and daily reports are produced.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Perform spot inventory checks to keep data accurate.
