Job summary

CAVA – North Atherton in State College, PA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead restaurant operations alongside the General Manager and Area Leader. You will translate our mission and values into daily guest experiences, manage schedules, forecasting, labor, and inventory, and coach teammates to deliver outstanding service.

You’ll need 1–2 years of supervisory experience in hospitality, strong leadership, communication, and budgeting skills, and a flexible schedule including nights

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Adapt to changing circumstances and develop solutions to enhance performance.
• Ability to manage financial aspects, including budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of legal, health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Willing to work nights and weekends; ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing and addressing team issues to maintain a positive environment.
• Uphold high service standards and address guest concerns promptly.
• Support with financial reporting and adherence to budget guidelines.
