Job summary

CAVA in La Quinta, CA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to bring our mission and values to life in daily restaurant operations. You will partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to set store plans, drive financial results, and develop hourly Team Members.

As AGM, you will manage schedules, forecasting, labor, inventory, and food safety, while upholding service standards and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a supervisory/management role in hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to manage budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and feedback.
• Support scheduling and staffing in collaboration with the General Manager.
• Address Team Member issues to maintain a positive work environment.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding service standards and addressing concerns.
• Lead by example in customer service and inspire the team.
• Assist with financial reporting and analyzing performance metrics.
• Ensure proper cash handling and compliance with procedures.
• Oversee food safety practices and team training on proper procedures.
• Support administrative tasks such as inventory management and records.
