Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager ensure daily operations run smoothly at our travel plazas. This role offers hands-on management experience and a path to higher leadership, with a focus on coaching staff and delivering great guest service.

You’ll supervise shifts, drive performance, uphold brand standards, manage cash, inventories, and customer needs, and work in a fast-paced environment that rewards pace, passion and results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent customer service abilities.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Confidently delivering performance feedback, setting goals, fostering teamwork, and communicating business objectives.
• Supervising non-management associates, assigning work, focusing on store-level operation performance, coaching, and developing shift supervisors.
• Performing duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivating staff and maintaining morale during challenging times.
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed and brand standards maintained.
• Managing cash daily, delivering reports per company directives, and addressing customer needs.
