Job summary

Panera Bread is seeking an Assistant General Manager in West Saint Paul, MN. You will lead an amazing team, partner with the General Manager on operations, and delight guests daily while growing the business and coordinating hiring, training, and development at your bakery-cafe.

You will inspire your team to achieve high standards, manage staffing and costs, and uphold health and safety policies in a bustling setting.

Qualifications

Minimum age: 18 years.
1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen required.
Proven availability to run great shifts while directing, motivating, coaching and developing others in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment.
Background check required.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Stand and walk for up to 6 hours.
Clear communication with guests and team in a loud environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and support the General Manager in operating the bakery-cafe.
Plan staffing, shift scheduling, and people development.
Hire, onboard and train new team members, while energizing and celebrating the team.
Manage performance to meet goals, quality standards, and guest service expectations.
Partner with the General Manager to develop managers and promote Panera's Guiding Values.
