Job summary

Panera Bread in Minneapolis is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a beloved bakery-cafe team, inspire staff, partner with the General Manager, and drive guest delight while growing the business. You will own hiring, training, and development at your location, manage staffing, scheduling, and performance, and ensure food safety and quality standards are met.

This role requires adaptability, strong business sense, and a focus on building a culture of warmth, belonging, and teamwork

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Support General Manager by making key decisions and problem solving.
• Plan and manage staffing needs, shift scheduling, people development, career development, and succession planning.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members; motivate and celebrate the team.
• Manage team performance to meet goals, operational and quality standards, and guest service expectations.
• Partnership with General Manager to develop managers on people’s processes and company values.
