Homewood Suites Buffalo Airport in Cheektowaga, NY is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead hotel operations alongside the General Manager. You will oversee guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B, while driving exceptional guest satisfaction and a collaborative team culture.

Ideal candidates bring two years of related management experience, hotel brand knowledge, and a Bachelor’s degree in hotel management or business.

Qualifications

• Two years related management experience.
• Experience with rooms, housekeeping and food & beverage.
• Bachelor’s degree in hotel management, business, or related field; or equivalent combination.
• Working knowledge of hotel operations—security and safety programs, HR relations, QA programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the facility operations in the absence of the General Manager including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, food and beverage and human resources.
• Manage the front office operations and supervise the front desk and food and beverage staff.
• Resolve guest concerns while maintaining high franchise Guest Service scores.
• Foster a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management.
• Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, rewarding and coaching employees; planning, directing work, addressing complaints and resolving concerns.
• Works along hotel staff and is available according to hotel’s needs; weekends, holidays and different shifts if required.
