Applegreen seeks an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run daily operations, learn essential management skills, and exercise sound judgment. This role offers an entry-level path into management within a growing hospitality network.

You will lead a team, coach shifts, ensure brand standards, manage cash, resolve customer issues, and keep inventory accurate, with opportunities for growth across our travel plazas.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management abilities with a proven track record.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Clear verbal communication and business sense.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork and communicate objectives.
• Supervise non-management staff, assign work, coach shifts, and develop supervisors.
• Step in during the General Manager's absence and lead operations.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale, especially during tough periods.
• Ensure brand standards, policies, and procedures are followed.
• Guard cash handling and generate daily reports as directed.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Maintain accurate inventory data with spot checks.
