Job summary

The Hotel Alex Johnson is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in overseeing daily resort operations, including front desk, housekeeping, F&B outlets, guest relations, revenue and expense management, and staff development.

Located in Rapid City, SD, this full-time leadership role offers exposure to historic hospitality, opportunities to lead multiple outlets, and the chance to contribute to guest satisfaction and financial performance in a premier hotel.

Qualifications

• Energetic, self-motivated leader with strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to direct, oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of Excel and Word; knowledge of property management software is a must.
• Local market knowledge experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with day-to-day operations across front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, and sales.
• Set goals, motivate and discipline employees; manage labor and general expenses.
• Direct and manage operations to improve guest service, employees, sales/marketing, property appearance, and finances.
• Oversee guest service functions to resolve issues and ensure superior service.
• Cover General Manager duties when GM is unavailable.
