Job summary

The Assistant General Manager at TAP Sports Bar inside MGM Grand leads daily restaurant operations, budget planning, and guest experience in a high-energy setting.

You will partner with the General Manager to develop a high-performing team, oversee staffing, scheduling, training, and ensure adherence to MGM Resorts service standards.

This role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and accountability to drive profitability while maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in hospitality or restaurants.
• Beverage knowledge preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
• Experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily restaurant operations, budgets, labor, scheduling, inventory, and guest service.
• Execute marketing strategies to drive short-term profitability and align with the restaurant business plan.
• Assist General Manager with HR duties including coaching, performance feedback and staffing.
• Interacts with guests to ensure satisfaction and handles feedback per company practices.
• Maintain health, sanitation and compliance with policies and standards.
