Pins Mechanical Co. in Austin, TX is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager to be the GM’s right hand, overseeing daily operations and developing a high-performing hospitality team.

Translate the GM’s goals into action, lead by example, and ensure outstanding guest experiences while managing scheduling, payroll, inventory, and compliance. You’ll drive operational excellence with a proactive, energetic leadership style.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of leadership experience in high-volume restaurants, bars, or hospitality venues.
• Proven ability to hire, train, manage, and develop managers and large teams effectively.
• Strong operational, organizational, and financial management skills.
• Exceptional guest service skills with a track record of delivering consistent experiences.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
• High-energy, proactive, and hands-on leader with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily, shift-based, and closing operations to ensure the venue runs smoothly.
• Monitor cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency across all areas.
• Step in to support team members during peak periods or operational challenges.
• Hire, interview, onboard, train, mentor, and schedule team members, including bartenders, barbacks, servers, and Hospitality Managers.
• Conduct performance evaluations, set objectives, and implement development plans with the GM.
• Hold team members accountable while fostering a positive, high-energy culture.
• Communicate daily targets, goals, and expectations to all team members.
• Hold Hospitality Managers accountable for onboarding and ongoing training.
