Job summary

Courtyard Harrisburg West Mechanicsburg in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a full-time Assistant General Manager to lead hotel operations and mentor front-line teams. The ideal candidate has hotel management experience and a degree in hotel administration or business.

You will greet guests, ensure safety, maintain brand standards, and drive service quality while collaborating with the management company to sustain market leadership.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of prior hotel management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree/higher education qualification/equivalent in Hotel Administration, Business Administration preferred.
• Experience may vary based on operation size.

Responsibilities

• Speak to guests – ask for their feedback and build relationships.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues, and hotel assets.
• Act as public relations representative to raise awareness of hotel and brand in local community.
• Demonstrate brand citizenship by maintaining compliance with all required brand and service standards.
• Drive team member involvement in community organizations, activities, and businesses.
• Collaborate with colleagues and hotel team members to establish and implement services and programs that meet or exceed guest expectations.
• Establish performance and development goals for team members and provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to enhance performance.
• Lead capital plans and asset management initiatives, including working with management company to maintain or improve property’s market leadership position.
