Job summary

Three Notch’d Brewing Company in Northern Virginia seeks an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager, oversee front-of-house operations, guest services and staff development.

You will hire, train, schedule, manage inventory and drive top-line sales while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. This role reports to the General Manager and leads the Front of House team.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory or management experience in the hospitality industry.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and teambuilding abilities.
• Proven problem-solving skills and proactive mindset.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
• Experience with restaurant management software such as Toast.

Responsibilities

• Ensures outstanding guest service and a guest-friendly environment.
• Manage hiring, training and development of Front of House team members.
• Implements and maintains guest service standards.
• Manage bar program initiatives, loyalty programs and memberships.
• Train staff to upsell and educate customers.
• Plan and assign daily goals, tasks and shift schedules.
• Oversee opening and closing responsibilities and health/safety compliance.
• Supervise Front of House staff for special events.
• Maintain health, sanitation, liquor, safety and facility standards.
• Oversee Front of House scheduling and POS system upkeep.
