Job summary

Three Notch’d Brewing Company in Columbia, SC is seeking a General Manager to lead Front and Back of House operations at the new Columbia Craft Brewery and Kitchen. You will work closely with the Executive Chef, brewery, finance, marketing and events to ensure the location runs smoothly and meets company objectives.

The role emphasizes delivering best-in-class customer service, high-volume operations, staff development, and accountable cost control.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a restaurant or bar for at least 5 years.
• Must hold a current, valid food safety certification, such as ServSafe Certified Food Protection Manager.
• Must hold a current, valid safe alcohol service and intervention certification, such as TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• A passion for craft beer and distilled spirits.
• Very strong organizational skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teambuilding skills.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter, proactive, open-minded, positive approach.
• Ability to successfully motivate and coach others.
• Highly effective multi-tasker.
• Proficient in using restaurant Point of Sale software, such as Toast.
• Competent in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote

Responsibilities

• Oversee Front of House teams with Back of House coordination.
• Hire, train, and manage performance of FOH staff.
• Ensure quality service, menu design, and bar program.
• Maintain property cleanliness and vendor contracts.
• Drive sales and service; identify opportunities for refinement.
• Monitor cost control and report to VP Retail Operations.
• Coordinate events with Events team and brewers.
• Ensure health, sanitation, liquor, safety compliance.
• Assist with scheduling and payroll processes.
