Job summary

Logan’s Roadhouse in the United States seeks an Assistant General Manager responsible for the overall operational excellence of a single Logan’s Roadhouse restaurant, including building sales and all other aspects of profit and loss, preparing financial projections, hiring and training and development of both management and hourly team members, daily execution of safety/sanitation, monitoring compliance with company/state/federal regulations, quality food preparation and guest service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum two years restaurant management experience required.
• College degree preferred or equivalent in experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Energetic and flexible.
• Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations.
• Well organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Model hospitality by conducting 100% table visits of guests in the restaurant.
• Effectively handle guest complaints.
• Assist marketing techniques and research to attract new guests.
• Build positive, professional relationships with members of the community.
• Assist with staffing needs to ensure proper staffing levels; review applications, interview candidates, and training.
• Plan and lead shift meetings and solicit feedback from team members.
• Provide performance feedback, development goals, and recognition to hourly team members.
• Responsible for documentation of all guest and team member injuries and incidents.
• Communicate employee relations issues to HR.
• Manage shifts to achieve sales and profit goals (labor and cost of sales).
• Complete administrative manager functions and transactions.
• Ensure adherence to SERV Safe Alcohol, Food, OSHA, and HACCP standards.
• Ensure PCI compliance for all credit card documents.
• Conduct time punch audits daily and make corrections.
• Assist with rollouts of new company programs, policies, and procedures.
• Unload vendor trucks/pallets and rotate inventory.
• Monitor cost of sales vs targets and analyze food waste and labor.
• Supervise hourly team members in partnership with the GM.
• Adhere to safety and security policies.
• Assist in handling cash: DSR, petty cash, deposits.
• Coordinate facilities maintenance with Director of Operations.
• Make bank change runs for small bills.
• Maintain vendor relationships for timely deliveries.
• Understand budget and revenue goals to control costs.
• Ensure food/beverage quality and compliance with recipes.
• Other duties as assigned.
