Applegreen seeks an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations across our travel plazas. You will lead a team, coach shifts, and ensure healthy store performance while upholding brand standards and customer service quality.

This role offers entry-level management exposure, opportunities to develop judgment and discretion skills, and a pathway to higher leadership within a fast-paced, food-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• 2+ years in quick service restaurant management.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates and coach shifts supervisors.
• Be able to perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ensure policies and brand standards are followed and brand standards are maintained.
• Maintain cash management and ensure daily reporting.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Perform spot inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
