Applegreen USA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to assist the General Manager in daily operations across our travel plazas in the Northeast and Midwest. This role provides an entry-level management path to learn essential skills and exercise judgment in a fast-paced environment.

You will supervise staff, ensure brand standards, manage cash and inventory, and deliver top-notch customer service, while mentoring teams and maintaining a positive work atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping people learn and grow the business.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen
• 2 Years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations
• Flexible and open work schedule
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Supervise day-to-day operations of non-management associates, assign tasks and coach shifts supervisors.
• Perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Maintain brand standards and procedures to maximize brand relations.
• Ensure restaurant looks clean, inviting, and compliant with standards.
• Manage cash handling and daily reports per company directives.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Monitor inventory accuracy with spot counts.
