Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Florida is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager, train crew, and ensure clean, safe, and efficient operations with a focus on guest satisfaction.

You will open and close the restaurant, prepare staff schedules, monitor inventory, place orders, hire and develop team members, implement marketing plans, and resolve guest requests promptly. This role requires leadership, strong communication and the ability to multitask under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies preferred.
• Knowledge of labor laws and health/sanitation regulations.
• Ability to recruit, interview and hire staff.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coaches crew, carhops and skating carhops to meet service standards.
• Assists with opening/closing duties and staffing plans.

Assistant General ManagerAs a SONIC Drive-In restaurant Assistant General Manager, you will be involved in training and supporting drive-in restaurant employees, ensuring that food is delivered in a clean, safe and efficient manner and our customers have an excellent experience. You will be responsible for assisting the General Manager with all job duties listed below while learning to complete these job duties independently:Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/ Team members, Carhops and Skating CarhopsDirects and assigns drive-in restaurant employees as needed to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standardsAdheres to and monitors employee compliance of the drive-in employee handbook, policies and practicesPerforms restaurant opening and/or closing dutiesPrepares employee work schedules; monitors and makes appropriate adjustments to restaurant staffing levelsMonitors and maintains restaurant inventory levels. Places orders for food, paper and other supplies within cost control proceduresCompletes and maintains all drive-in restaurant employment related records and payroll recordsReinforces a customer service mentality and ensures all employees are focused on always serving the customerImmediately and respectfully resolves guest requests. Reports guest complaints to immediate supervisor and assists in resolving such complaintsInterview and hire restaurant crew and management team members to achieve proper staffing levelsPrepare all necessary operational reports. Develop appropriate action plans to resolve unfavorable financial and/or sales trendsDevelop and implement a marketing planOther duties as assignedRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent required.
