Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Monroeville, AL is seeking a General Manager to lead the team, train crew, and ensure safe, high‑quality service at all times. You will supervise Crew, Carhops and Skating Carhops, open/close, create schedules, and monitor inventory and payroll records to meet cost controls.

Develop and execute marketing and staffing plans to improve guest satisfaction and drive sales, while upholding sanitation standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience.
• Ability to work a minimum 5 day workweek with varying shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and health/sanitation regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

You will be involved in training and supporting drive-in restaurant employees, ensuring that food is delivered in a clean, safe and efficient manner and our customers have an excellent experience.Essential General Manager restaurant job duties are listed below:Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/ Team members, Carhops and Skating CarhopsDirects and assigns drive-in restaurant employees as needed to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standardsAdheres to and monitors employee compliance of the drive-in employee handbook, policies and practicesPerforms restaurant opening and/or closing dutiesPrepares employee work schedules; monitors and makes appropriate adjustments to restaurant staffing levelsMonitors and maintains restaurant inventory levels. Places orders for food, paper and other supplies within cost control proceduresCompletes and maintains all drive-in restaurant employment related records and payroll recordsReinforces a customer service mentality and ensures all employees are focused on serving the customer at all times.Immediately and respectfully resolves guest requests. Reports guest complaints to immediate supervisor and assists in resolving such complaintsInterview and hire restaurant crew and management team members to achieve proper staffing levelsPrepare all necessary operational reports.
