Job summary

Homewood Suites by Hilton Newport Cincinnati seeks an experienced Hotel Assistant General Manager to lead hotel operations, support the General Manager, and deliver exceptional guest experiences in Newport, Kentucky.

You will supervise Front Desk, Housekeeping, Breakfast and Guest Services, coach and develop associates, manage scheduling and costs, and partner with Sales to maximize occupancy while maintaining Hilton standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hotel leadership experience preferred.
• Experience as Assistant General Manager, Front Office Manager, Operations Manager, or Department Head preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest service, and team leadership.
• Experience with hotel PMS and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The Homewood Suites by Hilton Newport Cincinnati seeks an experienced, energetic, results-driven HotelAssistant General Manager to lead hotel operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences. This leadership position works closely with the General Manager to oversee daily hotel operations, support team development, drive guest satisfaction, and ensure operational excellence throughout the property.

The ideal candidate is a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for guest service, and the ability to motivate teams while maintaining Hilton brand standards and achieving financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Leadership

• Assist with day-to-day hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Breakfast, and Guest Services.
• Ensure exceptional guest service and operational efficiency across all departments.
• Maintain compliance with Hilton brand standards, company policies, and safety requirements.
• Monitor property appearance, cleanliness, and overall guest experience.

Guest Satisfaction

• Actively engage with guests to ensure an exceptional stay experience.
• Respond to guest concerns, service recovery situations, and special requests promptly and professionally.
• Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and satisfaction scores and implement improvement strategies.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop hotel associates.
• Foster a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and service excellence.
• Conduct employee coaching, performance discussions, and recognition programs.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing to meet business demands.
• Support management of labor costs, departmental expenses, and operating budgets.
• Monitor productivity, payroll, and revenue opportunities.
• Assist with forecasting, reporting, inventory controls, and cost management initiatives.
• Drive hotel profitability while maintaining excellent guest satisfaction.
• Partner with the General Manager and Sales team to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Promote guest loyalty programs and hotel amenities.
• Support local sales initiatives and community engagement efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hotel leadership experience preferred.
• Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Front Office Manager, Operations Manager, or Department Head preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest service, and team leadership.
• Experience with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office.
