Job summary

Aqua-Tots Swim School is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations, support the General Manager, and ensure world-class swim instruction in a safe, welcoming environment.

You will oversee front desk and aquatics teams, drive customer experience and enrollment, manage scheduling, coach teammates, monitor quality, and help grow the school’s performance while upholding Aqua-Tots brand standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of management experience in operations, hospitality, education, or retail.
• Strong customer service and people leadership skills.
• Flexible availability to meet school needs.
• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CPR certification and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support School Operations – assist with daily school operations, facility and brand standards.
• Lead Front Desk & Aquatics Teams – provide leadership to Front Desk and Aquatic teams.
• Drive Customer Experience & Sales – educate families on Learn to Swim and assist enrollment conversations.
• Manage Scheduling & Coverage – help schedule and ensure daily staffing for lessons and front office.
• Coach & Develop Teammates – assist with hiring, training, and mentoring.
• Monitor Quality & Consistency – ensure lessons and interactions reflect Aqua-Tots standards.
• Support School Performance – track sales and customer feedback; support initiatives.

Schedule :Flexible availability required, including afternoons/evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the school and season.

What You’ll Do

Support School Operations – Partner with the General Manager to help oversee daily school operations, maintain facility and brand standards, and ensure the pool, deck, and front office operate smoothly.

Lead Front Desk & Aquatics Teams – Provide leadership and support to Front Desk teammates and Aquatic leadership to ensure consistent service, communication, and team accountability.

Drive Customer Experience & Sales – Help maintain high customer engagement by educating families on the Aqua-Tots Learn to Swim program, supporting enrollment conversations, and ensuring a positive experience for every family.

Manage Scheduling & Coverage – Support team scheduling and daily coverage to ensure proper staffing for swim lessons and front office operations.

Coach & Develop Teammates – Assist with hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating teammates while helping maintain a positive, high-performing team culture.

Monitor Quality & Consistency – Ensure swim lessons, customer interactions, and facility standards consistently reflect the Aqua-Tots brand and experience.

Support School Performance – Assist the General Manager in tracking sales performance, monitoring customer feedback, and supporting operational initiatives that help the school grow.
