Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to partner with the Food Service Director in managing a large jail kitchen on-site, ensuring safe, compliant food service and efficient operations.

You will lead a team of food service workers, manage inventory, training, and inspections, leveraging ServSafe certification and prior leadership to drive quality and cost control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of experience working in food service.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical abilities to complete necessary reports.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and with food service management systems.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the guidance, training, and management of the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action to team members.
• Develop positive connections with clients through effective communication.
• Oversee the appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served per plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in advance preparation of the menu schedule.
• Ensure proper storage of food items.
• Maintain serving schedules to meet menu specifications safely.
• Maintain sanitary environment following health codes and regulations.
• Responsible for state inspections of the operation.
• Other duties as assigned.
