Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to collaborate with the Food Service Director in running a large jail facility’s food service operation.

You will supervise food service workers responsible for food preparation and distribution in the kitchen, reporting to the Food Service Director onsite. The role values leadership, adherence to food handling regulations, willingness to learn, teamwork, adaptability, and coaching skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and must be at least 18 years old.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of experience working in food service.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and food service management systems.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train, and manage the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action to team members.
• Develop positive connections with clients through effective communication.
• Oversee quantities of food prepared and served according to plan.
