Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to lead daily kitchen, restaurant, concessions and bar operations across the property. The role emphasizes staff leadership, guest satisfaction, and adherence to brand standards.

The position requires coordinating with supervisors, ensuring safety and quality, and leveraging Micros POS for operational excellence. Compensation is $45,000 per year, with expectations of long hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Degree or additional coursework in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Two to three years of progressive experience in a full-service dining environment.
• Must obtain and maintain Serv-Safe certification.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
• Must have a current driver’s license with a minimum of three years driving history.

Responsibilities

• Assists with hiring, training, development and efficient management of the F&B staff.
• Plans workloads and staff assignments; trains, motivates, and evaluates staff.
• Establishes department standards and payroll considerations.
• Assists F&B leadership in daily tasks and projects.
• Monitors dining rooms, gaming floor, kitchen, and bar operations for staffing and quality.
• Ensures guest satisfaction and develops guest loyalty.
• Communicates department needs and safety concerns to management.
• Provides leadership and training to shifts to uphold Rosie’s Kitchen brand.
• Serves as Micros POS system SME and resolves issues.
• Monitors assets, inventory, and monthly purchasing and payroll.
• Liaises with external agencies and company leadership as needed.
• Maintains compliance with health, safety, food handling and hygiene codes.
