The City of Kettering (OH) is hiring a Temporary Part-time Assistant Facility Coordinator (Ice Arena) to support operations at the Kettering Ice Arena. The role requires a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, up to 28 hours per week, with duties ranging from opening/closing the arena to supervising staff and handling skating operations.

Considerable knowledge in ice arena management, methods, materials, tools and practices used in the operation, maintenance and supervision of the Kettering Ice Arena. Must be a current ice resurfacer operator. Ability to maintain records and to prepare reports. Ability to direct and supervise subordinates and to maintain a positive working relationship with them for the efficient operation of the Kettering Ice Arena. Ability to promote and motivate the general public's interest in the services offered by the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department. Considerable knowledge of the Kettering Ice Arena in relationship with the administrative function of the department. Ability to exercise good judgment and function within the broad guidelines with a minimum of direction. Ability to assist in hiring and evaluating the work of subordinates. Ability to present ideas and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing. Must possess valid Ohio Driver’s License. Needs to be certified in Standard First Aid and CPR for Professional Rescuer.
Some experience preferred, but not required. CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification preferred (will be provided if not current) or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess valid Ohio Driver’s License
