Job summary

The City of Kettering (OH) is hiring a Temporary Part-time Assistant Facility Coordinator (Ice Arena) to support operations at the Kettering Ice Arena. The role requires a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, up to 28 hours per week, with duties ranging from opening/closing the arena to supervising staff and handling skating operations.

Ideal candidates have basic supervision skills, strong communication, and a willingness to learn in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid Ohio Driver’s License.
• CPR for Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience in ice arena operations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the Ice Arena in the absence of the Arena Facility Coordinator.
• Maintains records and reports (attendance, incidents, logs).
• Open, set up, tear down, close and secure the facility.
• Handles all money and cash procedures.
• Assist in staff scheduling and training programs.
• Maintain ice quality and skate rental schedules.
• Attend staff meetings and support program development.
