Job summary

America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to oversee daily store operations and staff in a fast-paced optical retail environment. You will lead the eyeglass department, drive sales, ensure policy compliance, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

The role requires proven leadership, coaching ability, and strong communication skills to motivate a diverse team while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail optical team.
• Ability to coach and develop staff.
• Strong knowledge of store operations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (e.g. review P&L).
• Oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Ensure outstanding customer service and that associates do the same.
• Review quality standards, remakes, and enforce policies.
• Communicate with General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office with store reporting.
• Ensure promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are applied and understood by all staff and doctors.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates and ensure daily tasks are completed.
• Assist GM with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, and retaining quality staff.
• Motivate staff to exceed performance standards.
