Job summary

America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to oversee daily store operations, lead optical staff, and ensure superior customer service. The role focuses on driving sales, managing the eyeglass department, and maintaining regulatory standards.

The position requires an optical license, prior optical sales and supervisory experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
• Optical sales experience. Supervising experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Sound understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) for effective management of teams.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills for planning work and monitoring progress towards goals.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• ABO and NCLE Certified

Responsibilities

• Drives, monitors, and achieves profit, sales and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
• Monitors retail operating costs, budgets, and resources.
• Optimizes and oversees the eyeglass department for efficiency and compliance.
• Identifies opportunities and creates an action plan for improvement.
• Delivers outstanding customer service and ensures staff do the same.
• Ensures quality standards are met.
• Manages merchandising and promotions according to Brand/Company standards.
• Supervises Opticians and Sales associates and ensures daily tasks are completed.
• Assists GM with staffing forecasts and recruitment.
• Leads and coaches staff toward sales and service goals.
• Mentors Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
