Job summary

America's Best in Peoria, IL is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to lead the eyeglass department and help drive store performance. You will supervise Opticians and CL Sales associates, coach teams, and ensure customer-focused service in a fast-paced retail environment.

The ideal candidate has optical sales experience, strong leadership and financial acumen, and a commitment to compliant operations, promotions, and daily reporting to store leadership.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience; supervising experience preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong understanding of store operations and standards.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills with goal monitoring.
• Ability to analyze, create and understand financial reports.
• Problem solving across varied scopes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (P&L).
• Oversee eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and coach associates.
• Review quality standards, remakes, and policy compliance.
• Communicate with GM, District Manager and Corporate Office; store reporting.
• Manage promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising; inform staff.
• Supervise Opticians and CL Sales associates; ensure daily tasks are completed.
• Assist GM with staffing forecasts, recruiting and retention of staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• Roles may vary by state licensing requirements.
