Job summary

MGM Resorts International's Vdara property in Las Vegas seeks an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to lead housekeeping operations, mentor teams, and uphold luxury standards that define the guest experience. In this on-site leadership role you will drive guest room cleanliness, manage budgets and staffing, and collaborate with union teams to deliver consistent, WOW-level service across all areas.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Two (2) years of prior relevant experience, preferably in Housekeeping or EVS.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a luxury resort environment preferred.
• Experience leading union team members and working within a collective bargaining environment preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills; bilingual highly preferred.
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest concerns in a professional and timely manner, ensuring positive resolution.
• Manage departmental performance, budgets, staffing levels, and accountability processes to meet short- and long-term business objectives.
• Lead all Housekeeping Human Resources functions, including hiring, training, coaching, recognition, performance management, discipline, succession planning, and compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Mentor, coach, and develop Housekeeping Floor Managers to support performance and advancement opportunities.
• Conduct daily room inspections to ensure Housekeeping Floor Managers and Guest Room Attendants meet quality assurance and sanitation standards.
• Partner with Scheduling Attendants to ensure bidding processes are completed in accordance with policies, procedures, and timelines.
• Represent management in unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and other meetings as needed.
