Job summary

Vdara is seeking an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to lead housekeeping operations at a luxury Las Vegas resort. In this senior role, you will oversee guest rooms and public spaces, drive quality standards, and mentor a diverse team to deliver exceptional service.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership and budgeting experience in a unionized, high-end hospitality environment, with a proven track record of developing talent and maintaining world-class cleanliness and presentation.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior relevant experience in Housekeeping or EVS.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a luxury resort environment preferred.
• Experience leading union team members and working within a collective bargaining environment preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills; bilingual highly preferred.
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest concerns professionally and promptly to ensure positive resolution.
• Manage departmental performance, budgets, staffing levels, and accountability to meet objectives.
• Lead all Housekeeping HR functions: hiring, training, coaching, recognition, performance management, discipline, succession planning, and union compliance.
• Mentor, coach, and develop Housekeeping Floor Managers for performance and advancement opportunities.
• Conduct daily room inspections to ensure quality assurance and sanitation standards for rooms and public spaces.
• Partner with Scheduling Attendants to complete bidding processes per policies and timelines.
• Represent management in unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and related meetings.
