Job summary

MGM Resorts International seeks an Assistant Executive Housekeeper at Bellagio in Las Vegas to lead housekeeping operations and develop teams while upholding world-class standards of luxury service. You will help ensure guest rooms and public areas reflect the Bellagio brand and drive excellence behind the scenes.

The role emphasizes guest satisfaction, operational discipline, and the ability to mentor Floor Managers in a fast-paced, upscale environment.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of prior relevant experience, preferably in Housekeeping or EVS.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a luxury resort environment preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills; bilingual highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest concerns in a professional and timely manner, ensuring positive resolution.
• Manage departmental performance, budgets, staffing levels, and accountability processes to meet objectives.
• Lead all Housekeeping Human Resources functions, including hiring, training, coaching, recognition, performance management, discipline, succession planning, and policy compliance.

THE JOB:

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Respond to guest concerns in a professional and timely manner, ensuring positive resolution
• Manage departmental performance, budgets, staffing levels, and accountability processes to meet short- and long-term business objectives
• Lead all Housekeeping Human Resources functions, including hiring, training, coaching, recognition, performance management, discipline, succession planning, and compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements
• Mentor, coach, and develop Housekeeping Floor Managers to support performance and advancement opportunities
• Conduct daily room inspections to ensure Housekeeping Floor Managers and Guest Room Attendants meet quality assurance and sanitation standards
• Partner with Scheduling Attendants to ensure bidding processes are completed in accordance with policies, procedures, and timelines
• Represent management in unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and other meetings as needed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Two (2) years of prior relevant experience, preferably in Housekeeping or EVS
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a luxury resort environment preferred
• Experience leading union team members and working within a collective bargaining environment preferred
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, bilingual highly preferred
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
