Job summary

MGM Resorts International is seeking an Assistant Executive Housekeeper at Vdara in Las Vegas to lead housekeeping operations and drive world-class guest experiences. Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Two (2) years of prior relevant experience in Housekeeping/EVS.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a luxury resort environment preferred.
• Experience leading union team members and working within a collective bargaining environment preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills; bilingual highly preferred.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest concerns in a professional and timely manner, ensuring positive resolution.
• Manage departmental performance, budgets, staffing levels, and accountability processes to meet objectives.
• Lead all Housekeeping HR functions including hiring, training, coaching, recognition, performance management, discipline, succession planning, and compliance with policies and CBAs.
• Mentor, coach, and develop Housekeeping Floor Managers.
• Conduct daily room inspections to ensure QA and sanitation standards.
• Partner with Scheduling Attendants to ensure bidding processes meet policies and timelines.
• Represent management in unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and other meetings as needed.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

• Lead all Housekeeping Human Resources functions, including hiring, training, coaching, recognition, performance management, discipline, succession planning, and compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements
• Mentor, coach, and develop Housekeeping Floor Managers to support performance and advancement opportunities
• Conduct daily room inspections to ensure Housekeeping Floor Managers and Guest Room Attendants meet quality assurance and sanitation standards
• Partner with Scheduling Attendants to ensure bidding processes are completed in accordance with policies, procedures, and timelines
• Represent management in unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and other meetings as needed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Two (2) years of prior relevant experience, preferably in Housekeeping or EVS
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a luxury resort environment preferred
• Experience leading union team members and working within a collective bargaining environment preferred
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, bilingual highly preferred
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
