Job summary

Vdara, a premier MGM Resorts International luxury resort in Las Vegas, seeks an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to lead housekeeping operations. You will develop teams, drive standards, and ensure guest rooms and spaces reflect world-class service while delivering WOW experiences behind the scenes.

In this leadership role, you will mentor Floor Managers, manage schedules, and uphold safety, quality, and union considerations, contributing to exceptional guest satisfaction and operational

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Two years of prior relevant experience in Housekeeping or EVS
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a luxury resort environment preferred
• Experience leading union team members and working within a collective bargaining environment preferred
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, bilingual highly preferred
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest concerns in a professional and timely manner, ensuring positive resolution
• Manage departmental performance, budgets, staffing levels, and accountability processes to meet short- and long-term objectives
• Lead all Housekeeping HR functions, including hiring, training, coaching, recognition, performance management, discipline, succession planning, and compliance with policies
• Mentor, coach, and develop Housekeeping Floor Managers to support performance and advancement
• Conduct daily room inspections to ensure quality and sanitation standards
• Partner with Scheduling Attendants to ensure bidding processes are completed according to policies
• Represent management in unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and other meetings as needed

The Day-to-day

• Conduct daily room inspections to ensure Housekeeping Floor Managers and Guest Room Attendants meet quality assurance and sanitation standards
• Partner with Scheduling Attendants to ensure bidding processes are completed in accordance with policies, procedures, and timelines
• Represent management in unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and other meetings as needed

The Ideal Candidate

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Two (2) years of prior relevant experience, preferably in Housekeeping or EVS
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a luxury resort environment preferred
• Experience leading union team members and working within a collective bargaining environment preferred
