Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a part-time, hourly assistant teacher for our Spring Valley YMCA location in Royersford, PA. The role involves planning dynamic, age-appropriate curricula, creating a warm, supportive environment for children and families, and maintaining a clean, safe space.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years (2500 hours) of childcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.

• Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
• Supervise each child in your care, identifying needs and ensuring safety at all times.
• Uphold YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies for quality childcare.

The responsibilities we will trust you with:

• Assist in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.

• Supervise each child in your care by being able to identify, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT and ASSIST, always ensuring a safe environment.
